Kamala Harris
Kamala Harris was born on October 20, 1964, in Oakland, California. Her mother, Shyamala Gopalan, was a breast cancer researcher from India, and her father, Donald Harris, was a Jamaican economist. Growing up, Kamala was influenced by her mother’s strong values and activism. She attended Howard University, where she earned a degree in political science and economics, and later graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
Kamala Harris began her career as the Deputy District Attorney in San Francisco. In 2003, she was elected as the District Attorney of San Francisco, becoming the first African American and first woman to hold that position. In 2010, she was elected as California's Attorney General, where she focused on issues like consumer protection and criminal justice reform. In 2016, Harris was elected to the U.S. Senate. In 2020, she was selected as Joe Biden's running mate, making history as the first woman, first Black woman, and first person of South Asian descent to hold the office of Vice President of the United States. As of late July 2024, she is now running for president for the 2024 election.

Tim Walz
Tim Walz was born on April 6, 1964, in West Point, Nebraska. He grew up in a military family, which influenced his values and work ethic. Walz earned a degree in social science education from Chadron State College and later a master's degree in education from Minnesota State University. Before entering politics, he worked as a teacher and a football coach at a high school in Minnesota. Additionally, he served in the Army National Guard for 24 years, including deployment to Iraq, where he was involved in humanitarian efforts.
Tim Walz's political career began when he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2006, representing Minnesota's 1st Congressional District. During his time in Congress, he focused on issues such as veterans' affairs, education, and healthcare. He served on several committees, including the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs. In 2018, Walz ran for governor of Minnesota and won, becoming the state’s 41st governor. Since then he has been chosen as Kamala Harris’ vice president pick for her presidential candidacy.
